Well, I had been struggling to figure out why federal charges were laid. While I am not a legal scholar, last time I checked, the killing of a civilian (not a federal official nor a member of a federal official’s close family) by a civilian

where state lines weren’t crossed during the commission of the crime itself

it did not occur on federal property, aboard a ship a sea, or during the commission of a robbery

was not a hate crime

doesn’t qualify for federal murder charges. But like I said, I’m no legal scholar.

AND TERRORISM‽

Terrorism? Really? Who was he terrorizing? Health insurance executives? We can’t get y’all to press hate crime charges against people actually committing hate crimes that are, in fact, terrorizing but this guy allegedly kills one rich-ass white man and he gets terrorism charges‽ Fuck that. The DOJ keeps telling on itself.

Last week, it emerged that health insurance leaders pressured the DOJ to bring federal charges against Luigi Mangione. This week, I discovered the top 3 officials at DOJ all collected paychecks from healthcare companies before serving in government: shorturl.at/lgLIU

Dredge is the best video game that has ever been made

If you open it and keep playing there's like five more even scarier fish that will try and kill you

playing dredge. sailing around at night. see another ship on the water blaring its horn and beelining at me. think wtf and start heading back to the dock bc im not prepared for whatever this interaction is gonna be. the ship is much faster than me but thats ok, im pretty close to shore.

ship gets within viewing distance. the horn sounds kinda off. the lights in the windows don't look much like windows any more. there's a weird and distinctly un-ship-like shape under the water.

it's not a fucking boat. it's a fish pretending to be a boat. a big fucking fish chasing after me trying to trick me into thinking it's a fellow fisherman. when i get into range of the dock it shies away from the light and darts back underwater so fast it's like it was never there. i close the fucking game and never open it again.
